Bromley Pupils Celebrate Success in Nationwide Learning Challenge

Pupils from a Bromley primary school have been celebrating their success after taking part in a nationwide maths Challenge.

Children at Bickley Primary School received a total of 32 awards following their participation in the Annual DoodleLearning Summer Challenge – a popular initiative designed to motivate pupils during the school holidays and prevent summer learning loss.

More than 18,000 children took part in the challenge, including pupils from 647 participating schools, by practising maths and English for just a few minutes each day, using DoodleLearning’s award-winning apps. Part of the Discovery Education family of solutions, the DoodleMaths and DoodleEnglish apps use the latest edtech advances to reward learning and boost children’s confidence.

The pupils from Bickley Primary school were rewarded with special certificates and badges that were presented by their teachers in school this week.

Teacher Louisa Dakin said:

“We are absolutely delighted that so many children took part in the Doodle Summer Challenge. This ‘little and often’ approach during the summer break does so much to support their learning and helps them to remember more over time. The children also really enjoy using Doodle, which encourages them even more!”

Howard Lewis, Discovery Education’s UK and International Managing Director said:
