The ONTO Group Bolsters Offering for Exam Management Service

The ONTO Group, a bespoke data management service provider to the education sector, has extended its current offering for exam managed services with the introduction of a new invigilating provision.

Following a highly-successful trial with one of the firm’s current school clients, The ONTO Group’s Senior Exams Consultant and Team Leader Natalie Musson, has implemented the new offering to meet increased business demand for a fully comprehensive managed service. The invigilating service will offer extensive benefits to schools, with dedicated team members on-hand to ensure a seamless and efficient examination period.

In bringing the service to its vast portfolio of products, The ONTO Group will embark on a recruitment drive for experienced exam facilitators local to the schools, bolstering its current in-house team. The company has also pledged to further its investment in the team to ensure a high quality of service for clients with bi-annual training.

Commenting on the new service Natalie Musson said: “We are delighted to be extending our services to offer a well-rounded, full provision for exam management. While our Exams Consultants/Officers have the ability to work remotely for our school and college clients, there is an on-site requirement for roles such as invigilating and exam facilitating; providing the entire value-added package enables us to have a significant impact in terms of the reassurance that we can give to schools that we have control of the whole process, something particularly vital for those currently using external agencies for their invigilating services.

“Whilst it may be suggested by some that invigilating staff are common placed, they are an integral part of the smooth running of the examination season in schools. The role far exceeds looking out for malpractice, invigilators are equally there to ensure students are supported during such a significant time of their lives. The standard of staffing for this purpose is therefore of great importance, particularly with mental health being a significant factor in today’s world and the levels of anxiety that exams can bring to students.

“Our invigilating team at ONTO will be thoroughly prepped for all potential occurrences as well as receiving in-depth training and continual support from the exams team. Ultimately, our job as a team is to ensure exams are carried out in accordance with the rules and regulations set by The Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ), and that learners receive the best possible environment we can offer, to assist them with achieving their best possible outcome.”
